Review of Fiat 500 – 2015
FCA or the most commonly known by the name Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, is a multinational company that has Anglo-Dutch origins. The Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has two main subsidiaries namely the FCA US and the FCA Italy. This group currently owns various Marques including the Dodge, Bentley and the Jeep through the FCA US subsidiary and it also owns Marques like the Ferrari and the Maserati under the FCA Italy Subsidiary.
In the year of 2009 Fiat and Chrysler integrated to form the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. Since 2009, fiat has slowly been acquiring the shares of other companies that were under the Chrysler Group. After many successfully takeovers, Fiat announced the introduction of a new Holding company. The year of 2015 is set to bring about three new models in the compact version of the Fiat Cars - The Fiat 500, Fiat 500E and Fiat 500L.
The Fiat 500 of 2015 comes with a standard I-4 engine with 1.4 liter capacity. The horsepower of these engines however vary. You get engine variants with 101, 135 or a 160 hp engine. The 5 speed gear comes only in a manual transmission mode while the 6 speed gears come with both auto-manual and automatic transmissions.
This model has a very good braking system even at top speeds and has the best in class turning circle. It is easy to park this car and the mileage is very good in the manual transmission variants. On the low note however, the visibility features are not that very good in this car and the leg room in the back seat is quite cramped. The trunk or the boot space is also very limited.
The Fiat 500 is a two door hatch back comes in five variants viz., Pop, Sport, Lounge Turbo and Abarth.
Review of Fiat 500E – 2015
The Fiat 500E is a battery operated electric car which happens to be the best ride for all environment conscious people. This car has a one speed automatic transmission. The engine comes with 111 hp and 147 lb-ft torque delivery. This car is a really good drive within a crowded city. It does not require a lot of turn space, thus making navigation easy on crowded streets. The front passenger seat and the driver seats are not very comfortable and the leg space available in the rear seat passenger area is very cramped.
This chic battery operated 2 door hatchback has 7 onboard traction battery chargers. This makes charging your car battery on the go absolutely easy. The traction battery can hold up to 24 KW/H. For a car that is so small, the amount of security features found in it is unbelievable. Side, front and overhead airbag systems, along with knee airbags are also available with the Fiat 500E.
Review of Fiat 500L – 2015
The 2015 Fiat 500L is a four door hatchback. It comes with a standard I-4 engine with 1.4 liter capacity and 160 hp. This 6-speed gear transmission car is available either in manual, auto shift manual or automatic modes. This engine delivers 184 lbs-ft torque and has only front-wheel drive system. The safety features are the same ones found in all the hatchback variants of this company.
This new Fiat 500L can easily seat 5 people. The cargo area and the leg room is a lot better with this car. The ride quality is also very nice since it has good high-way composure. The front seats however are not that very comfortable. The steering and handling of this car is not as smooth as expected. The manual transmission is very sloppy and uncomfortable.
